Vice-Chair/Secretary John Flores is a lifelong Beaumont resident with deep roots in the community and the history of the Pass Area Recreation and Park District. Elected to the Board of Directors in 2014, John is a proud second-generation Board member, following in the footsteps of his father, Bernie Flores, who was one of the founding members of the District's Board of Directors. He carries his father's legacy into his service, guided by the belief that the District's primary purpose is to serve its community.

Having raised his children in Beaumont, John has experienced firsthand the importance of local recreational programs. His children participated in community basketball, baseball, and softball leagues, and he spent many years coaching youth sports and actively supporting local activities.

John remains especially passionate about recreational programming, recognizing that providing opportunities for community participation was a fundamental reason for the District's creation. His connection to the District's history continues to shape his commitment to preserving its original mission while ensuring that future generations have access to meaningful recreational experiences.
