We are proud to announce our General Manager Duane Burk received the “Outstanding General Manager” award from the California Association of Recreation & Park Districts (CARPD) during their Annual Awards of Distinction ceremony May 19, 2022. Since he began as our district General Manager in 2016, Burk has been determined to keep BCVRPD strong, relevant and help it grow along with our community’s need for recreation and fun! He’s successfully utilized his three decades of public works experience plus his knowledge of the local community (he grew up in Beaumont) to advance our special district in so many ways: from growing and improving our park spaces to rebuilding the Foundation and helping the district run smoothly and effectively, and much more. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting our GM, you know he genuinely enjoys his job and believes in the mission of our district - to grow and improve the recreational opportunities for our surrounding community. From all your staff, board, foundation, friends and family: CONGRATS DUANE! We appreciate the way you captain our ship and have charted the course along with the board for a successful future of recreation!
